What is a synchronized supper?

A synchronized supper is when multiple people in multiple locations make the same meal at the same time while listening to the same music and interacting over text and video. Synchronized Suppers are a way to create shared experiences for loved ones living apart.

Didn't we do this during COVID?

Even without a pandemic, more and more loved ones are living apart and missing the close-knit connections they shared around the dinner table. While we don't believe anything replaces in-person time, Synchronized Suppers offer creative connections while apart.

Our Synchronized Suppers are not designed to be spent in front of a video screen. While we schedule a five-minute video call over cocktails for a quick toast, most of the interactions occur over a group text, and the phones go away once dinner is served to be present at your table.

What if I don't cook?

You're in good company! We are in no way professional cooks or hosts. We are just a group of siblings who love to eat good food, and like the idea of making a meal together. We test each recipe to ensure it passes the "casual cook" test. Trust us, there's been a few recipes we did NOT recommend :) But beyond that -- you GOT this! We believe anyone can cook, they just need the proper encouragement and guidance.

Who should participate in a Synchronized Supper?

Our seasonal live events are designed for anyone - whether you bring a group or come solo. In addition, if you would like to host your own supper with our specially-designed supper kits, here are a few groups we have found LOVE connecting in this way:

How do the live suppers work?

Each season, Sync & Savor will host a live Synchronized Supper. When you sign up for these meals you gain access to all supper club materials, as well as our private chat with diners around the world. On supper day the Sync & Savor community will share pictures and videos of their table scapes, their meal prep and more. When cocktails are served, we join a live video chat as we all toast to our long distanced communal table. Be sure to join quick, as these toasts last only five minutes. Then its back to cooking and when the S&S team rings the dinner bell, all phones go away as we tune in to be present at our physical tables.

Why do I need Sync & Savor? Can't I just do this on my own?

We created the concept of Synchronized Suppers as a way for us to stay close as siblings living apart. We have been practicing and perfecting the art of these suppers and think we've nailed a system that really works. We understand it is a lot of work to gather friends and family on the same day, plan a meal and make it a memorable experience for everyone. Our synchronized supper meal kits arm your with step-by-step directions to make the whole things a breeze.

What does it mean to be a supper "captain?"

Sync & Savor provides all the materials you need to run your own Synchronized Supper. We suggest assigning a captain as the person who "hosts" the event. They download and disperses the supper materials, and run the group text throughout the experience.

What if I want a personalized supper?

Sync & Savor will be launching a concierge service in 2025, where we will create, organize and run a personalized Synchronized Supper for your group. Be sure to join our mailing list to be the first to know when these services are available.

In the meantime, when you purchase a Synchronized Supper kit, you will get a 1:1 call with a S&S team member who can walk you through the process and answer any questions you may have.
